And Why is this important in the WWW age? Uplift Custom Bras is located in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. Burlington is between Toronto, and Hamilton, Ontario. If you are from the US, Burlington is kind of close to Buffalo, NY.
The location of Uplift Custom Bras is important because we need to have you here to measure you for your custom bra! We have tried to do this long distance, but the reality is that our body type and shape is so unique, that a number does not express who you really are. ( This is a good thing!) In a nutshell – you need to be here for a fitting.
2.So, what happens at the fitting?
A. Another good question!
First of all, we discuss your bra fit “issues” . Why do you have troubles finding a comfortable bra? There are so many reasons women can’t find a bra that fits. Did you know that almost all of us have one breast that is larger than the other? For some women, it is not significantly larger, but for others, it can be cup sizes larger. Now, that is annoying! Fixable, but annoying. Now, just think about the poor person who has feet two different sizes… as far as I know, the only solution to that, is to buy 2 different pairs of shoes.
But , I digress! We have many problems with mass manufactured bras. Custom made bras address any issue you may have. Each part of the bra is measured and made to fit you. Which leads to one other FAQ…
3. What sizes do you have?
A. Size you!
A custom bra is no size at all but your size. That is what makes it custom and makes it fit you! Plus size breasts on a petite frame? Petite breasts? on any frame? Uplift can make a bra in your size! The size on the box no longer exists.
4. I have had a mastectomy and can’t find a comfortable bra – can you help me?
A. Yes! Of course we can!
We would love to help you with a comfortable bra. We carry ready-to-wear mastectomy bras, and breast prosthesis. At Uplift Custom Bras, comfort is priority, but there is never a need to sacrifice beauty. Every woman who has gone through breast cancer, has individual, and very personal experiences. Our goal is to make you a bra that is comfortable, beautiful and will help you feel normal again. And there is a lot that we can do to make that happen!
5. What colour choices do I have?
A. This is when the fun begins!
Most women who have been “bra challenged”, have had only a few colour choices. White, black and beige. When you choose to go custom, virtually the sky is the limit! Do you want to accent with lace? Oh, please do! The combinations are endless, the decisions are almost painful. Personally, I feel like I have the brain of a crow- if it is pretty or shiny – I buy it! I hope my clients think it is pretty too. Sometimes, when a client chooses a lace or fabric that I am particularly fond of, I mourn its’ loss! I know that sounds a bit silly, but every piece of fabric and lace is chosen because of its’ special qualities and beauty. Of course, the most special quality, is always its’ ability to “Uplift”!
